Trusted 5 Star Rated PDI Services

Trusted by Customers

A Maruti Suzuki PDI is an independent, third-party inspection of a brand-new Maruti carried out in the hours before you sign the delivery paperwork. PDI Plus offers Maruti PDI service across North India for the full range across Arena and Nexa channels, including Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Eeco, Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ignis, Ciaz, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto. Every inspection covers paint depth readings, OBD scans, plant-of-origin verification across Manesar, Gurugram, Hansalpur, and Kharkhoda, Arena or Nexa channel-specific paperwork, CNG kit and certification checks on factory CNG variants, SHVS mild hybrid or Grand Vitara strong hybrid diagnostics, Suzuki Connect activation, and a same-day written report.

Maruti Suzuki is not just India’s largest carmaker. It is a different kind of brand from everything else in the market, and a Maruti PDI has to reflect that reality. Two entirely separate showroom networks handle mass-market and premium models. Four Indian plants (with a fifth ramping up at Kharkhoda) produce different models for different customer segments. A product-sharing agreement with Toyota produces cross-badged twins on the same production lines. Factory-fitted CNG variants exist across nearly every mass-market model, a portfolio no other brand comes close to matching. And the Jimny sits inside this range as a genuine body-on-frame off-roader with real 4WD, sold only through Nexa.

That structural complexity changes the PDI in ways that a generic checklist cannot capture. An Alto K10 CNG delivered from Manesar through an Arena outlet is a different inspection from a Baleno delivered from Hansalpur through a Nexa outlet, which is different again from a Grand Vitara strong hybrid delivered from Manesar through Nexa, which is different from a Jimny 4WD needing a 4WD engagement check. Same brand, five different PDI profiles.

Our Maruti Suzuki PDI service is built to handle every one of these variants across the Delhi NCR, Haryana, UP, Punjab, and Rajasthan region.

Maruti Suzuki Deliveries in North India: The Realities That Shape Handover

Maruti’s plant network, dual retail channel, CNG portfolio, and hybrid technology mix each create specific handover conditions that no other brand in the market matches.

Four plants with a fifth ramping up: Maruti’s Indian plants are Manesar (Haryana), Gurugram Palam Vihar (Haryana), Hansalpur (Gujarat, operated by Suzuki Motor Gujarat), and now Kharkhoda in Haryana coming online at massive scale. Different plants produce different models. Kharkhoda’s ramp-up matters particularly for North India because it is closer to Delhi NCR dealers than Manesar and much closer than Hansalpur. Plant-of-origin verification is more important for Maruti than for single-plant brands.

Arena and Nexa are two separate retail networks: Arena outlets handle Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, and Eeco. Nexa outlets handle Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ignis, Ciaz, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto. Different showrooms, different sales staff, different delivery presentation, different pricing on accessories, and often different documentation formatting. A model booked at one channel cannot be delivered at the other. Channel verification is a Maruti-specific paperwork step.

Cross-badged Toyota twins share production lines: Baleno and Toyota Glanza, Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder, Ertiga and Toyota Rumion, Invicto and Toyota Innova Hycross are engineered together and built on shared production lines. A Baleno and a Glanza are mechanically identical. But the Maruti version ships through Nexa (Baleno) or Arena (Ertiga cross-badge), while the Toyota version ships through Toyota showrooms. Connected platforms, warranty terms, service networks, and accessory catalogues all differ despite the shared manufacturing origin.

Factory-fitted CNG breadth is unique in the market: Maruti offers factory-fitted CNG variants across Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, and Eeco. This is the widest CNG portfolio from any manufacturer in India by a significant margin. CNG PDI has requirements no other brand’s PDI touches at this scale: CNG tank certification paperwork, kit fitment verification, cylinder mounting integrity, CNG-specific dashboard warning verification, and dual-fuel system functionality across both petrol and CNG modes.

Two hybrid technologies in one lineup: Maruti sells SHVS mild hybrid (12V ISG-based) on Baleno, Grand Vitara mild variant, Ertiga, XL6, and Ciaz. Maruti also sells one strong hybrid: Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid, which uses a Toyota-engineered 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with THS strong hybrid architecture. These are two completely different technologies with different PDI requirements. Buyers who assume the two Grand Vitara variants are similar are wrong.

No diesel anywhere in the range: Maruti exited diesel in 2020. Every current Maruti is petrol, petrol-CNG, or petrol-hybrid. This simplifies some parts of PDI (no DPF, no AdBlue) but concentrates attention on other areas (CNG kit checks, hybrid diagnostics, petrol engine start-up patterns across an unusually wide displacement range).

Jimny brings body-on-frame and 4WD into the range: Jimny is Nexa’s specialist off-roader. Real body-on-frame construction, mechanical 4WD with low-range transfer case, and rigid axle suspension. This is the only Maruti requiring the kind of chassis and 4WD checks otherwise associated with Mahindra Thar or Scorpio-N. Jimny PDI is Maruti PDI in name only for this specific model.

Suzuki Connect telematics: Maruti’s connected car platform runs on Suzuki Connect. Different subscription structure, different feature availability by channel (some features are Nexa-only), and different failure modes at delivery than any other brand’s platform.

Fleet and taxi channel volume is unmatched: Alto K10, S-Presso, Wagon R, Dzire, Ertiga, and Eeco dominate Indian fleet and taxi operations. Volume purchases by taxi aggregators, transport operators, driving schools, corporate transport, and government departments are common. Fleet inspection frameworks matter more for Maruti than for any other brand.

Highest rural and tier-2 dealer density in the market: Maruti’s dealer network extends deeper into rural and tier-2 North India than any competitor. This shapes the buyer mix (many first-time buyers, many rural fleet buyers, many repeat family buyers) and shapes delivery-day expectations (paperwork accuracy matters more than feature demonstration).

e Vitara arriving as the first mass-market EV: Maruti’s entry into the mass EV segment via e Vitara is significant. Built on a shared platform with Toyota, it uses a dedicated EV architecture. PDI protocols for e Vitara are still being established but will follow standard EV inspection framework with Maruti-specific adaptations.

What Are the Most Common Issues Found on New Maruti Suzuki Cars at Delivery?

Our inspection records across Maruti Suzuki deliveries in North India show a defect pattern shaped by high volume, wide model spread, dual-channel retail, and specific technology mixes. The following recur often enough to warrant priority attention on every Maruti PDI.

Paint and panel findings:

  • Paint depth variance on rear quarters and boot lid across Swift, Dzire, Baleno, and Fronx
  • Panel gap variance around Brezza and Grand Vitara tailgate
  • Roof panel finish on Wagon R, Ignis, and Alto K10 (yard-handling exposure)
  • Bonnet paint depth on Manesar-sourced stock with fast yard turnover in Delhi NCR
  • Dust accumulation in door gaps on Hansalpur-sourced stock (longer transit)
  • Jimny panel gap variance around removable panels and door alignment

Cabin and feature findings:

  • Dashboard trim rattles on Wagon R, Celerio, and Alto K10

CNG-specific findings (factory CNG variants):

  • CNG tank certification paperwork missing or incomplete
  • CNG kit fitment bolt torque variance
  • Dual-fuel system switch behaviour irregular between petrol and CNG modes
  • CNG-specific dashboard warning lamp calibration
  • Boot space measurement mismatch on CNG variants (tank placement reduces usable space, which needs to be verified at delivery)

Hybrid-specific findings:

  • SHVS mild hybrid system diagnostic scan showing pending status on Baleno, Ertiga, and XL6
  • Grand Vitara strong hybrid EV mode not engaging at low speeds on delivery drive
  • Strong hybrid battery SOC below expected delivery range

Jimny-specific findings:

  • 4WD engagement stiffness on cold start
  • Low-range transfer case shift feel
  • Body-on-frame bolt torque check findings
  • Underbody protection panel gap on off-road variants

Documentation findings:

  • Arena and Nexa channel mismatch between invoice and delivery outlet
  • Suzuki Connect subscription tier mismatch against booking
  • Toyota-shared product buyers occasionally receive Toyota-specific paperwork by mistake
  • Fleet invoice GSTIN and PAN errors on multi-unit orders

What Our Maruti Suzuki PDI Inspection Covers

Our Maruti inspection follows the seven-category framework used across our brand pages, expanded with Maruti-specific sections for CNG, mild hybrid, strong hybrid, and Jimny 4WD checks.

Paintwork, Panels, and Plant-Origin-Aware Inspection

Digital paint depth gauge readings across every panel. Plant-aware attention: Hansalpur-sourced stock (longer transit) checked for transit-related exposure on roof, bonnet, and rear quarters. Manesar and Kharkhoda-sourced stock (short transit) checked for yard-handling exposure on rear quarters and boot lid. Panel gap consistency across model-specific priority points. Detection of touch-up or repaint work. Headlamp, DRL, and fog lamp finish. Body-coloured trim on Nexa premium variants.

Arena or Nexa Channel-Specific Paperwork Match

A Maruti-specific PDI step with no equivalent on any other brand page. Verify:

  • Invoice channel (Arena or Nexa) matches delivery outlet
  • Model is correctly assigned to its channel (Arena models cannot ship through Nexa and vice versa)
  • Warranty booklet channel format matches
  • Accessory pricing sheet matches channel-specific catalogue
  • Suzuki Connect subscription tier is appropriate for the channel (some tiers are Nexa-only)

Channel paperwork mismatches happen more often than most buyers realise and cause post-delivery friction if not caught pre-signature.

CNG Kit, Tank, and Dual-Fuel System Verification (Factory CNG Variants)

Applies to Alto K10 CNG, S-Presso CNG, Celerio CNG, Wagon R CNG, Dzire CNG, Brezza CNG, Ertiga CNG, and Eeco CNG.

  • CNG tank certification paperwork (mandatory, buyer often does not know to ask)
  • CNG kit fitment inspection with focus on cylinder mounting bolt torque
  • Dual-fuel system switching behaviour tested (petrol to CNG mode and back)
  • CNG-specific dashboard warning verification
  • CNG fuel gauge calibration check
  • Boot space measurement documented (CNG cylinder placement reduces usable boot space by a specific amount that varies by model)
  • Emergency CNG shutoff valve accessibility
  • CNG hose routing visual inspection under bonnet

SHVS Mild Hybrid System Diagnostic

Applies to Baleno, Grand Vitara mild hybrid variants (Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha), Ertiga, XL6, and Ciaz.

  • e-CVT behaviour under acceleration and cruise
  • Regen behaviour and paddle-based regen calibration where fitted
  • Hybrid-specific warning lamp status
  • Hybrid battery and system warranty verified against booking, cross-checked with the applicable Maruti Suzuki warranty policy

Jimny Body-on-Frame and 4WD System Check

Applies to Jimny only. This is Maruti’s only body-on-frame model with real 4WD.

  • Chassis-to-body bolt torque spot check
  • Body mount rubber condition
  • Underbody protection panel fitment and bolt security
  • 4WD engagement in 2H, 4H, and 4L modes tested on a short controlled drive
  • Transfer case shift feel and completion of engagement
  • Differential fluid seepage check at front and rear axles
  • Rigid axle suspension inspection
  • Removable panel and door alignment (Jimny-specific)
  • Off-road tyre verification against invoice specification

Engine, Transmission, and Petrol-Only Behaviour Verification

Every current Maruti is petrol. Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and cold-start behaviour observation. Idle stability across the range’s wide displacement variation (0.8-litre to 1.5-litre). Manual gearshift feel. AMT gearshift behaviour on applicable variants (Celerio, S-Presso, Swift, Dzire). AT and CVT behaviour on applicable premium variants.

Cabin, Comfort, and Feature Verification

Seat upholstery and adjustment. Second-row captain seat function on XL6 and Invicto. Third-row seat mechanism on Ertiga, XL6, and Invicto. Dashboard and door pad trim rattle checks (Wagon R, Celerio, and Alto K10 priority). Sunroof calibration on applicable variants. Ambient lighting function. Wireless charging pad function on Nexa premium variants. HUD calibration where fitted. AC vent airflow across zones.

Electricals, Infotainment, and Suzuki Connect

Infotainment touchscreen calibration with priority attention to 9-inch SmartPlay Pro units on Nexa premium variants. Suzuki Connect pairing verified with subscription tier match against booking. Voice assistance function on applicable variants. Headlamp alignment, wipers, horn, indicators. Reverse parking sensors and camera on applicable variants. OBD-II diagnostic scan across all modules.

Wheels, Tyres, and Underbody

Tyre brand, size, tread, DOT week. Variant-correct wheel size verification against invoice. Alloy wheel condition on top variants. Steel wheel condition on entry variants. Spare wheel, tool kit, and jack (spare wheel on CNG variants is often smaller due to cylinder placement). Underbody visual for leaks and damage.

Documentation and RTO Paperwork

VIN, engine, and chassis verification. Plant-of-origin verified from VIN and cross-checked with expected plant for that model. Manufacturing month and year decoded from VIN and B-pillar sticker. Owner’s manual, warranty booklet, service book, duplicate keys. Form 22, PUC, insurance policy. Temporary registration matched to the correct RTO series. Fastag activation and verification on the Parivahan Sewa portal. Suzuki Connect registration and tier confirmation. Extended warranty activation (Maruti’s 2-year standard makes this valuable). CNG certification paperwork on CNG variants. Fleet invoice, GSTIN, PAN, and business address verification for fleet deliveries. Toyota-shared product paperwork clarity for Baleno, Ertiga, and Invicto buyers who may confuse the branding.

Maruti Suzuki Paperwork, Channel, and Program Specifics

Maruti’s dual-channel retail, its CNG portfolio, its hybrid technology mix, and its value-added programs create paperwork specifics that a generic PDI checklist misses.

Arena vs Nexa channel verification. The single most valuable Maruti-specific PDI paperwork step. Confirm your invoice, delivery outlet, and warranty booklet all correspond to the correct channel for your model. Arena models delivered through Nexa outlets or vice versa is not just paperwork friction, it can affect service network eligibility and accessory warranty.

Suzuki Connect activation and subscription tier. Maruti’s connected platform activates at delivery on a subscription tier tied to your booking and channel. Some tiers are Nexa-exclusive. Verify pairing, owner mobile registration, telemetry appearance, and tier match.

Standard warranty. Maruti offers 2 years or 40,000 km standard warranty on most models, extendable to 5 years or 1 lakh km. This is a shorter standard than Hyundai, Kia, and Mahindra. Extended warranty activation at delivery is therefore particularly important, since more Maruti buyers opt for it.

CNG certification paperwork. For factory CNG variants, the CNG tank certification and kit paperwork is a legal requirement. Missing or incomplete certification creates RTO application delays. Verify at delivery.

SHVS mild hybrid warranty. For SHVS variants, the mild hybrid system carries the same warranty as the vehicle overall. No separate warranty booklet needed, but SHVS-specific service items should be understood by the buyer at delivery.

Strong hybrid warranty (Grand Vitara Hybrid and Invicto). The strong hybrid battery and system carry warranty terms distinct from standard vehicle warranty. Verify hybrid-specific coverage duration, terms, and system activation at delivery.

Fleet and commercial invoice verification. Given Maruti’s dominant fleet position, standardised commercial invoice format, GSTIN, PAN, and business address verification is critical for multi-unit orders. Fleet inspection framework with standardised reporting is available for orders of 3+ units.

Toyota-shared product buyer clarity. Baleno, Ertiga, Grand Vitara, and Invicto buyers occasionally confuse Maruti warranty and service network access with Toyota’s for the Glanza, Rumion, Hyryder, and Innova Hycross twins. The Maruti version accesses Maruti service network with Maruti warranty terms, not Toyota’s. This should be clarified at delivery to prevent post-purchase confusion.

Maruti Suzuki Rewards and Auto Card. Value-added programs for loyalty benefits and financial services. Activation and paperwork should be verified separately from standard warranty.

Maruti Suzuki VIN Decoding and Manufacturing Plant Reference

How do I confirm which Maruti plant built my car?

Maruti VINs are 17 characters. The plant code sits at the 11th character. The model year sits at the 10th. Our inspectors decode both at every PDI. Four things get confirmed:

  • Plant of manufacture. Manesar (Haryana), Gurugram Palam Vihar (Haryana), Hansalpur (Gujarat, operated by SMG), or Kharkhoda (Haryana, ramping up). Different models are produced at different plants. Baleno and Grand Vitara come from Manesar or Hansalpur. Brezza comes from Manesar. Ertiga and XL6 come from Manesar. Jimny comes from Gurugram. Kharkhoda ramp-up will shift model allocation over time.
  • Expected plant match. The plant that produced your specific car should match the expected production plant for that model at that time. Mismatches occasionally happen and are worth flagging.
  • Model year. Verifying that a car sold as a current-year unit was actually built in that year, particularly relevant given Maruti’s mid-cycle refresh cycles.
  • Month of manufacture. Read from the VIN and B-pillar sticker. Fast-moving stock at high-volume Maruti dealers means most units are recent, but yard storage can push older manufacturing dates. Stock older than 3 months from delivery warrants a conversation.

When to Book Your Maruti Suzuki PDI

Book as soon as your VIN and delivery date are confirmed. Two to three days of lead time helps us align with the dealer.

For festive periods, allow five to six days of lead time. Maruti dealerships in Delhi NCR handle exceptional delivery volume during Navratri and Diwali, and demand for Brezza, Grand Vitara, Fronx, Baleno, and Ertiga consistently pushes waiting periods. March-end financial year deliveries and September quarter-end fleet orders follow the same pressure pattern.

Add extra lead time in these cases:

  • Jimny: allow an extra day for body-on-frame chassis check, 4WD verification, and differential fluid inspection. Jimny PDI runs 2.5 to 3 hours.
  • Grand Vitara Intelligent Electric Hybrid or Invicto: allow extra time for full strong hybrid system diagnostics. Strong hybrid PDI runs 2 to 2.5 hours.
  • CNG variants: allow an extra half-day for CNG tank certification, kit verification, and dual-fuel system testing.
  • Fleet deliveries of 3+ units: book 5 to 7 days ahead for standardised multi-unit inspection with commercial paperwork audit.
  • Kharkhoda-sourced deliveries: as the plant continues ramping, book with extra lead time for verification of expected plant-model matching.

Book Your Maruti Suzuki PDI Service

A Pre-Delivery Inspection is a small, one-time step that protects a large, multi-year purchase. Whether you are buying an Alto K10 or Wagon R as your first car, a Dzire or Brezza as a family choice, a Wagon R CNG or Ertiga CNG for a taxi fleet, a Baleno or Fronx from Nexa, a Grand Vitara mild or strong hybrid, a Jimny for weekend off-road use, or an Invicto as a chauffeur-driven premium MPV, an independent PDI Plus inspection helps ensure you take home the exact car you paid for.

Two ways to move forward:

  • If your delivery is confirmed, share the VIN, dealership name and channel (Arena or Nexa), delivery date, booked variant code, fuel type (petrol, CNG, mild hybrid, or strong hybrid), and registration type. We will lock a slot.
  • If you are still evaluating options across the Maruti range, tell us the models you are comparing, expected timeline, and use case (personal, family, fleet, off-road). We will guide you on when the inspection should be booked and what to focus on across your options.

Fill in the enquiry form on this page or call our team. We respond within a few working hours and can accommodate same-week Maruti Suzuki inspections across Delhi NCR, Haryana, Western UP, Punjab, and adjoining Rajasthan.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Maruti is coming through the Arena channel. Do you inspect Arena and Nexa differently?

The inspection framework is the same, but Maruti-specific paperwork steps differ between Arena and Nexa. Arena deliveries: verify Arena channel documentation, Arena-catalogue accessory pricing, and Arena-tier Suzuki Connect where applicable. Nexa deliveries: verify Nexa channel documentation, premium accessory catalogue, and Nexa-exclusive Suzuki Connect tiers. We verify the correct channel-model match on every Maruti PDI.

Yes. On Alto K10 CNG, S-Presso CNG, Celerio CNG, Wagon R CNG, Dzire CNG, Brezza CNG, Ertiga CNG, and Eeco CNG, we verify CNG tank certification paperwork, kit fitment with cylinder mounting bolt torque check, dual-fuel system switching behaviour tested in both petrol and CNG modes, CNG dashboard warning calibration, boot space measurement given cylinder placement, and emergency shutoff valve accessibility. CNG PDI is a dedicated part of our Maruti service.

Fundamentally different technology, fundamentally different inspection. SHVS mild hybrid on Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha uses a 12V ISG-based system for start-stop and mild energy assist. PDI focus is SHVS diagnostic scan and idle stop-start function. Intelligent Electric Hybrid on Alpha+ uses Toyota’s THS architecture with a high-voltage battery, motor-generators, and e-CVT. PDI focus is full strong hybrid system diagnostic, EV mode engagement, and seamless transition between modes. Buyers who booked one variant but were delivered the other happens occasionally, and channel-paperwork verification catches this.

Yes, significantly differently. Jimny is Maruti’s only body-on-frame model with real mechanical 4WD. PDI adds chassis-to-body bolt torque check, body mount inspection, 4WD engagement in 2H, 4H, and 4L modes on a controlled drive, transfer case shift feel, differential fluid seepage check at both axles, rigid axle suspension inspection, and removable panel alignment. Jimny PDI runs 2.5 to 3 hours vs 90 to 120 for other Nexa models.

The vehicles share the production line and are mechanically identical, but the Maruti Baleno accesses Maruti warranty terms and Maruti service network via Nexa, while Toyota Glanza accesses Toyota warranty terms and Toyota service network. Warranty duration and service benefits are Maruti’s, not Toyota’s, on your Baleno. We verify this paperwork clarity at delivery to prevent post-purchase confusion. The PDI itself is the same as a standalone Nexa premium hatchback inspection.

Yes. Suzuki Connect pairing, owner mobile registration, vehicle telemetry appearance in the app, and subscription tier match against booking are all verified before you leave the yard. Some tiers are Nexa-exclusive, so channel verification is part of this step.

The warranty duration is what it is, but PDI focus around it matters. Because Maruti’s 2-year or 40,000 km standard is shorter than most competitors, more buyers opt for extended warranty to 5 years or 1 lakh km. Confirming extended warranty is activated in the system on delivery, not just written in the booklet, is a priority PDI step for Maruti.

Yes. Fleet and commercial-use inspection is a core Maruti service given Maruti’s dominant fleet position. Standardised reports across multi-unit orders, commercial invoice and GSTIN verification, plant-of-origin verification across the batch, and group scheduling for split delivery windows are all included.

Kharkhoda is Maruti’s newest plant, ramping up to become the largest single-plant facility in India. Fresh Kharkhoda stock still needs a full PDI because plant-line defects can occur regardless of the facility, and Kharkhoda’s ramp phase warrants extra attention to plant-model matching. But the plant itself is not a red flag.

Pricing depends on the model type (entry, premium, MPV, SUV, Jimny, hybrid, CNG), whether Arena or Nexa channel, whether fleet or personal, and whether hybrid or CNG-specific checks apply. We share the exact fee upfront before you confirm.
