Trusted 5 Star Rated PDI Services

Trusted by Customers

A Jeep PDI is an independent, third-party inspection of a brand-new Jeep carried out in the hours before you sign the delivery paperwork. PDI Plus offers Jeep PDI service across North India for the current Jeep India range, including Compass, Compass Trailhawk, Meridian, Meridian Overland, and Wrangler Unlimited (including Rubicon variants). Every inspection covers paint depth readings, OBD scans, Ranjangaon plant-of-origin verification for India-assembled models, Trail Rated capability verification, Selec-Terrain traction management system audit, Rock-Trac 4×4 system verification on Wrangler Rubicon, body-on-frame chassis check on Wrangler, MultiJet diesel and MultiAir turbo petrol engine verification, UConnect activation with Off-Road Pages, Jeep Wave program paperwork audit, Wrangler CBU import documentation audit, and a same-day written report.

Jeep occupies a unique position in the Indian market. American SUV heritage translated to India through Stellantis India operations. 4×4 is brand DNA rather than a feature on select variants, with every Jeep model offering some level of off-road capability. Trail Rated certification stands as an engineering benchmark covering water fording, articulation, ground clearance, traction, and manoeuvrability. And a product mix spanning a mass-market family SUV (Compass), an off-road-focused mass-market SUV (Compass Trailhawk), a three-row family SUV (Meridian), and the ultimate expression of the brand as a CBU import (Wrangler with Rubicon variants).

That positioning creates a PDI reality with focus points that no other brand’s inspection framework covers with the same depth. Selec-Terrain traction management verification with terrain-specific mode testing. Trail Rated capability verification. Rock-Trac 4×4 system on Wrangler with locking differentials and disconnecting sway bar. Solid-axle suspension architecture on Wrangler that is genuinely unique in the modern Indian market. MultiJet diesel emission compliance verification on Compass and Meridian. UConnect Off-Road Pages showing tilt, compass, altitude, and drivetrain status on 4×4 variants. Jeep Wave program benefits paperwork for premium ownership.

Our Jeep PDI service is built around these Jeep-specific realities across the Delhi NCR, Haryana, Western UP, and Punjab region.

Jeep Deliveries in North India: The Realities That Shape Handover

Jeep India’s plant, brand philosophy, product mix, and Stellantis parent context each create specific handover conditions.

Ranjangaon plant near Pune: Jeep India cars come from the Stellantis India plant at Ranjangaon, producing Compass, Compass Trailhawk, Meridian, and Meridian Overland. Ranjangaon-to-Delhi transit is roughly 1,300 kilometres, a moderate distance. Paint depth on transit-exposed panels and yard-storage duration at Delhi NCR dealers are Ranjangaon-transit PDI concerns.

Stellantis India parent, with Citroën as a sibling brand: Jeep operates under Stellantis India alongside Citroën, though each brand maintains distinct product identity, dealer network, and service structure. Stellantis is a multi-brand parent structure where Jeep operates with strong American SUV brand independence. This is distinct from tighter product-sharing arrangements at other parent groups.

American SUV heritage with 4×4 as brand DNA: Jeep is fundamentally an off-road brand. Every model carries some level of 4×4 heritage even on 4×2 variants. Compass has a Trailhawk trim with Trail Rated certification. Meridian offers Selec-Terrain on 4×4 variants. Wrangler represents the ultimate expression with Rock-Trac 4×4 and Rubicon capability. This distinguishes Jeep from every other brand in the set where 4WD is a feature rather than the brand foundation.

Selec-Terrain traction management system: Jeep’s proprietary 4×4 system with terrain-specific modes: Auto, Sand, Mud, Snow, and Rock on applicable variants. Present on Compass Trailhawk, Meridian 4×4 variants, and Wrangler. Verification includes testing each available mode’s engagement and dashboard indication on a short controlled drive.

Rock-Trac 4×4 system on Wrangler: Wrangler Rubicon’s premium 4×4 system with front and rear locking differentials (Tru-Lok), disconnecting sway bar, and low-range 4:1 transfer case. This is unique in the Indian market. PDI verification requires knowledge of Rock-Trac operation and inspection of locker engagement, sway bar disconnect function, and transfer case shift patterns.

Trail Rated certification: Jeep’s engineering standard for off-road capability. Not a marketing badge but a certification covering five criteria: traction, ground clearance, manoeuvrability, articulation, and water fording. Trail Rated verification confirms that Trail Rated-badged variants meet the certification requirements at delivery, including approach and departure angle physical measurement, ground clearance verification, and locking differential function where applicable.

Compass with turbo petrol and diesel powertrains: Compass offers 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo petrol (with 7-speed dual-clutch DDCT on some variants) and 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel (with 9-speed automatic on top variants). Manual gearboxes available across the range. Diesel variants need DPF regeneration status verification, and AdBlue check on BS6 phase 2 applicable variants.

Meridian as three-row Selec-Terrain family SUV: Meridian is a seven-seat SUV on the Compass platform (extended wheelbase), powered by a 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel with a 9-speed automatic. Available in 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. Meridian 4×4 carries Selec-Terrain. Positioned against Alcazar, Hycross, Innova, and Fortuner.

Wrangler as a premium CBU off-road icon: Wrangler Unlimited arrives as a CBU import from Jeep’s global plants. Rubicon variants for hardcore off-road capability. Genuinely unique product architecture: body-on-frame construction with solid axles front and rear (all other modern Indian SUVs use independent suspension somewhere), removable doors and roof panels, fold-down windshield capability, and Rock-Trac 4×4 on Rubicon. Wrangler PDI adds body-on-frame chassis verification, solid axle inspection, removable panel security, and CBU import documentation.

MultiJet diesel and MultiAir turbo petrol engineering: Jeep engines are Fiat-derived under the Stellantis parent group. MultiJet diesel technology on Compass 2.0 and Meridian 2.0 uses common rail injection with specific emission compliance protocols. MultiAir turbo petrol on Compass 1.4 uses electro-hydraulic valve actuation. Both technologies require verification knowledge distinct from generic engine inspection.

UConnect infotainment system with Off-Road Pages: Jeep’s UConnect connected infotainment platform includes Off-Road Pages on 4×4 variants showing real-time tilt, compass heading, altitude, drivetrain status, and terrain mode information. Verification includes Off-Road Pages activation, sensor calibration, and dashboard display function.

Standard warranty and Jeep Wave program: Jeep offers 3 years or 1 lakh km standard warranty on Compass and Meridian, with 24×7 Roadside Assistance included. Wrangler CBU has a separate warranty structure. Jeep Wave program provides premium ownership benefits including maintenance benefits, VIP service treatment, and Jeep community access on applicable variants.

Growing service network under Stellantis expansion: Jeep’s service network has been expanding under Stellantis India investment. Service centre coverage in metros with expanding tier-2 presence. EV-capable and Wrangler-capable service centres require specific attention given specialised training and equipment.

Buyer profile spans family SUV buyers, off-road enthusiasts, and premium buyers: Compass attracts mass-market family SUV buyers, often choosing Jeep for the brand heritage. Compass Trailhawk attracts buyers who want Trail Rated capability at Compass pricing. Meridian attracts family buyers needing seven-seat capability with 4×4 heritage. Wrangler attracts off-road enthusiasts, brand enthusiasts, and buyers seeking genuinely unique SUV product architecture.

Jeep Paperwork, Warranty, and Jeep Wave Program Specifics

Jeep’s American SUV heritage, 4×4 product philosophy, MultiJet and MultiAir engine technology, and Wrangler CBU offering create paperwork specifics that a generic PDI checklist misses.

Standard warranty structure: Jeep offers 3 years or 1 lakh km standard warranty on Compass and Meridian, with 24×7 Roadside Assistance included. Wrangler CBU has a separate warranty structure with CBU-specific terms. Extended warranty options available. Verify applicable terms at delivery and confirm activation, including Roadside Assistance.

UConnect activation and subscription tier: For UConnect-equipped variants, activation happens at delivery on a subscription tier tied to your booking. Verify pairing completes, owner mobile registration is confirmed, vehicle telemetry appears in the app, and subscription tier reflects booking. UConnect Off-Road Pages activation verified on 4×4 variants.

Jeep Wave program: Jeep’s premium ownership program providing complimentary maintenance benefits, VIP service treatment, and Jeep community access on applicable variants. Program paperwork audit at delivery for buyers who opted for Jeep Wave benefits.

Trail Rated certification documentation: For Trail Rated-badged variants (Compass Trailhawk and Wrangler), Trail Rated certification documentation should be verified at delivery. This certification is an engineering standard, not a marketing badge, and documentation confirms the variant meets the certification requirements.

Wrangler CBU import documentation: For Wrangler Unlimited and Rubicon CBU units, extended warranty structure differs from India-assembled Compass and Meridian. Service network access for Wrangler-capable service centres requires verification. Some parts may need to be sourced through Jeep Global rather than through local dealer inventory.

Stellantis India service network: Jeep’s service network operates under Stellantis India investment and expansion. Delivery-day confirmation of the nearest Jeep-capable and Wrangler-capable service centres. Wrangler service in particular requires specialised training and equipment given the unique product architecture.

MultiJet diesel emission compliance paperwork: For Compass and Meridian diesel variants, BS6 Phase 2 emission compliance certification and AdBlue system paperwork verified where applicable.

Fleet and corporate invoice verification: For Jeep fleet purchases (corporate cars, some premium taxi services), verify GSTIN, PAN, business address, and that the invoice format supports input tax credit correctly.

Jeep VIN Decoding and Manufacturing Origin

How do I confirm where my Jeep was built?

Jeep VINs are 17 characters. The plant code sits at the 11th character. The model year sits at the 10th. Our inspectors decode both at every PDI. Three things get confirmed:

  • Plant of manufacture: Ranjangaon (Maharashtra), the Stellantis India plant, is the sole India plant for Compass and Meridian. Wrangler arrives as a CBU import from Jeep’s global plants with different VIN origin coding.
  • Model year: Verifying that a vehicle sold as a current-year unit was actually built in that year, particularly relevant for Wrangler CBU where port storage can push manufacturing dates back.
  • Month of manufacture: Read from the VIN and B-pillar sticker. Ranjangaon transit is moderate. Stock older than 3 months from delivery date warrants a conversation. For Wrangler CBU, port storage means older manufacturing dates are more common; stock older than 4 to 5 months warrants a conversation for premium buyers.

When to Book Your Jeep PDI

Book as soon as your VIN and delivery date are confirmed. Two to three days of lead time helps us align with the dealer.

For festive periods, allow four to five days of lead time. Jeep dealerships in Delhi NCR handle steady delivery volume during Navratri and Diwali across the Compass and Meridian range.

Add extra lead time in these cases:

  • Wrangler Unlimited or Rubicon: allow at least one full day for CBU documentation audit, body-on-frame chassis verification, Rock-Trac 4×4 audit on Rubicon, removable component security, and premium feature verification. Runs 3 to 4 hours.
  • Compass Trailhawk: allow extra time for Trail Rated certification verification, Selec-Terrain mode testing, and Trailhawk-specific equipment audit. Runs 130 to 160 minutes.
  • Meridian 4×4: allow extra time for Selec-Terrain verification and third-row seat mechanism check. Runs 130 to 170 minutes.
  • Diesel variants: allow extra time for DPF and AdBlue system checks.

Book Your Jeep PDI Service

A Pre-Delivery Inspection is a small, one-time step that protects a large, multi-year purchase. Whether you are buying a Compass as a family SUV with American brand heritage, a Compass Trailhawk as your Trail Rated off-road-capable daily driver, a Meridian as a seven-seat family SUV with Selec-Terrain 4×4 capability, or a Wrangler Unlimited or Rubicon as the ultimate off-road icon, an independent PDI Plus inspection helps ensure you take home the exact Jeep you paid for with the 4×4 capability you were expecting.

Two ways to move forward:

  • If your delivery is confirmed, share the VIN, dealership name, delivery date, booked variant code (particularly for Trailhawk, Overland, or Rubicon), engine option (petrol or diesel), drivetrain (4×2 or 4×4), and registration type. For Wrangler CBU, share the import documentation reference if available. We will lock a slot.
  • If you are still evaluating options, particularly if you are comparing Compass Trailhawk against Thar or Scorpio-N for off-road capability, Meridian against Alcazar or Innova Hycross for family use, or Wrangler variants for enthusiast ownership, tell us the models you are comparing, expected timeline, and use case. We will guide you on when the inspection should be booked and what to focus on across your options.

Fill in the enquiry form on this page or call our team. We respond within a few working hours and can accommodate same-week Jeep inspections across Delhi NCR and adjoining zones, with Trailhawk, Meridian 4×4, and Wrangler CBU delivery support available
