Trusted 5 Star Rated PDI Services

Trusted by Customers

A Mahindra PDI is an independent, third-party inspection of a brand-new Mahindra SUV or commercial vehicle carried out in the hours before delivery paperwork is signed. PDI Plus offers Mahindra PDI service across North India for the full range, including Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, XUV700, XUV 3XO, XUV400 EV, BE 6, XEV 9e, Bolero, Bolero Neo, and the Pik-Up commercial line. Every inspection covers paint depth readings, OBD scans across all modules, chassis and body-on-frame verification where applicable, 4WD system function on 4×4 variants, AdrenoX activation, and a same-day written report.

Mahindra is different. Where most manufacturers have moved fully to monocoque construction and city-oriented feature sets, Mahindra still builds real body-on-frame SUVs with mechanical 4WD, low-range transfer cases, and differential locks. Thar and Scorpio-N are not car-based crossovers pretending to be SUVs. They are the real thing. XUV700 and the born-electric BE 6 and XEV 9e sit alongside as the monocoque and skateboard-platform expressions of the same brand.

That mix creates a PDI reality most workshops are not equipped for. A proper Mahindra inspection has to check things that never appear on a Hyundai or Skoda checklist: transfer case engagement, differential fluid seepage, chassis-to-body bolt torque, roof rail and snorkel fitment, low-range gear function. Skip those and you are inspecting the interior of a Mahindra without inspecting what actually makes it a Mahindra.

Our Mahindra PDI service is built around that reality across the Delhi NCR, Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan region.

Mahindra Deliveries in North India: The Realities That Shape Handover

Mahindra’s product architecture, plant network, and buyer base each create specific handover conditions.

Five plants supplying North India: Mahindra passenger and commercial vehicles for the region come from Chakan (Pune), Nashik, Kandivali, Haridwar (Uttarakhand), and Zaheerabad. Haridwar is the closest and supplies a significant share of Bolero, Bolero Neo, and Pik-Up stock heading into Haryana, UP, and Punjab. Chakan handles XUV700, Thar, Scorpio-N, and the BE and XEV EV range.

Three showroom formats: Mahindra runs standard multi-model outlets, dedicated BE and XEV outlets for the born-electric range, and separate commercial vehicle outlets for Bolero Pik-Up and other CV products. Invoice format, warranty terms, and delivery flow vary across the three. A car booked at a standard outlet but delivered from a BE outlet, or vice versa, produces paperwork friction that shows up at RC application if not caught early.

Body-on-frame SUV volume: Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, and Bolero are all body-on-frame. This is now unusual in the Indian market. Chassis integrity, body mount condition, and underbody fitment need physical inspection, not just a walk-around.

Real 4WD demand: North India buyers, especially in Delhi NCR, UP, and Rajasthan, buy Thar and Scorpio-N 4×4 in serious volume for weekend off-road use, hill trips, and lifestyle reasons. 4WD engagement, low-range function, and differential lock operation must be verified on delivery. These systems do get shipped with faults occasionally.

Rural and commercial fleet weight: Bolero and Pik-Up dominate rural fleet operations across Western UP, Haryana, and adjoining Rajasthan. Volume purchases by contractors, transport operators, agricultural buyers, and government departments are common. Fleet inspection frameworks matter here more than they do for city hatchbacks.

Accessory-heavy deliveries: Thar buyers routinely add snorkel, roof carrier, side steps, spare wheel cover, alloy upgrades, and interior packages at dealer level. Scorpio-N buyers add roof rails, ORVMs, and running boards. These dealer-fit accessories often ship with fitment issues that a rushed handover misses.

What Are the Most Common Issues Found on New Mahindra SUVs at Delivery?

Our inspection records across Mahindra deliveries in North India show a defect pattern noticeably different from other brands. The following recur often enough to warrant priority attention on every Mahindra PDI.

  • Door alignment variance on Thar and Thar Roxx, especially the rear doors on 5-door Roxx.
  • Panel gap around XUV700 tailgate and Scorpio-N boot lid.
  • Cabin plastic squeaks and rattles on Scorpio-N and XUV700 dashboard and A-pillar trim.
  • Sunroof calibration and one-touch open-close function on XUV700, Scorpio-N, and Thar Roxx.
  • ADAS software version mismatch on XUV700 AX7L and Scorpio-N Z8L variants.
  • 4WD engagement stiffness or delayed response on Thar 4×4 and Scorpio-N 4×4 on cold start.
  • Differential fluid seepage on rear axle of Thar and Scorpio-N 4×4 variants.
  • Underbody protection panel gaps or missing bolts on off-road variants.
  • Snorkel and roof carrier fitment misalignment on accessory-added Thar deliveries.
  • AdrenoX Alexa pairing failures on first attempt.
  • Wireless charging pad heating on XUV700 and Scorpio-N.
  • Bolero and Bolero Neo cabin trim rattles at higher revs.
  • Pik-Up load bay tie-down point looseness and cargo lamp non-function.
  • BE 6 and XEV 9e battery SOC below expected delivery range and inconsistent one-pedal drive calibration.
  • Ambient lighting flicker on XUV700 top variants.

Reverse parking sensors and 360-degree camera where fitted. USB, wireless charging, and 12V outputs. OBD-II diagnostic scan for stored fault codes across all modules including 4WD ECU and body control.

Wheels, Tyres, and Off-Road Hardware

Tyre brand, size, tread, DOT week. On Thar and Scorpio-N 4×4, verification of correct off-road-rated tyres if that variant was ordered. Alloy wheel condition. Full-size spare wheel and mounting (Thar has externally mounted spare). Tool kit, jack, and any off-road accessories (recovery hooks, roof racks) checked for fitment integrity.

Documentation and RTO Paperwork

VIN, engine, and chassis verification. Manufacturing month and year decoded from VIN and B-pillar sticker. Owner’s manual, warranty booklet, service book, duplicate keys. Form 22, PUC, insurance policy. Temporary registration matched to the correct RTO series. Fastag activation and verification on the Parivahan Sewa portal. AdrenoX registration. Extended warranty and roadside assistance activation. Commercial vehicle paperwork for Pik-Up including permit and fitness certificate flow.

Mahindra Paperwork, Warranty, and Accessory Specifics

Mahindra’s three-channel retail structure, its accessory-heavy delivery culture, and its commercial vehicle paperwork all create specifics that a generic PDI checklist misses.

Showroom channel verification: Confirm your invoice, delivery yard, and warranty booklet match the same Mahindra retail format: standard, BE and XEV, or commercial vehicle. BE and XEV outlets handle only the born-electric range. Standard outlets handle Thar, Scorpio, XUV, Bolero, and XUV400 EV. Commercial outlets handle Pik-Up and select Bolero variants. Cross-channel bookings do happen and paperwork friction shows up at RC application.

AdrenoX and Alexa pairing: Mahindra’s connected platform with built-in Alexa needs activation at delivery. Verify pairing completes, that your registered mobile is linked as owner, that voice command function is active, and that vehicle telemetry appears in the app before leaving.

Standard warranty: Mahindra offers a 3-year or 1 lakh km standard warranty on most ICE models, with brand-specific extended warranty tiers. EV warranties differ. Battery warranty for BE 6, XEV 9e, and XUV400 EV extends to 8 years or 1.6 lakh km typically. Verify the applicable terms and confirm system activation on delivery day.

Dealer-fit accessory verification: Thar buyers frequently add snorkel, roof carrier, side steps, and interior packages. Scorpio-N and XUV700 buyers add roof rails, ORVMs, and running boards. Each accessory has a separate invoice line and often a separate warranty. Verify each is fitted, functional, and billed correctly. Post-delivery disputes on accessory fitment are common and preventable.

Commercial vehicle paperwork for Pik-Up: Commercial buyers need permit paperwork, fitness certificate flow, and load class certification. GSTIN, PAN, and business address verification apply. Fleet buyers should insist on standardised paperwork across the batch.

AdrenoX subscription tiers: Mahindra’s connected services run on tiered subscription. Confirm your booking includes the tier you paid for and that activation reflects the correct tier.

  • Rajasthan corridor: Alwar, Bhiwadi, and adjoining zones on request
  • Uttarakhand cross-over: Haridwar plant-adjacent deliveries and Dehradun-side handovers

Rural and semi-urban coverage matters more for Mahindra than for most brands. Bolero and Pik-Up buyers often live outside metro centres. Our team travels to fleet delivery locations.

Mahindra VIN Decoding and Manufacturing Plant Reference

How do I identify which plant my Mahindra vehicle came from?

Mahindra VINs are 17 characters. The plant code sits at the 11th character. The model year sits at the 10th. Our inspectors decode both at every PDI. Three things get confirmed:

  • Plant of manufacture. Chakan (Thar, Scorpio-N, XUV700, BE 6, XEV 9e), Nashik (select variants), Haridwar (Bolero, Bolero Neo, Pik-Up primarily), Kandivali (older platforms), or Zaheerabad. Haridwar-sourced stock is common across Haryana and UP for Bolero and Pik-Up variants.
  • Model year. Verifying that a vehicle sold as a current-year unit was actually built in that year.
  • Month of manufacture. Read from both the VIN and the B-pillar manufacturing sticker. Stock older than 3 months from your delivery date warrants a conversation before signing.

When to Book Your Mahindra PDI

Book as soon as your VIN and delivery date are confirmed. Two to three days of lead time helps us align with the dealer.

For festive periods, allow four to five days of lead time. Mahindra dealerships in North India handle exceptional volume during Navratri and Diwali, and Thar and Scorpio-N deliveries frequently backlog into November and December.

Add extra lead time in these cases:

  • BE 6 and XEV 9e: allow an extra day for INGLO platform diagnostics and BE outlet paperwork verification.
  • Thar with accessories: allow half a day extra to verify snorkel, roof carrier, and side step fitment properly.
  • Pik-Up fleet orders: book 5 to 7 days ahead for multi-unit inspections with commercial paperwork audit.
  • 4×4 variants: add half a day for 4WD and differential verification on a short controlled drive.

Book Your Mahindra PDI Service

A Pre-Delivery Inspection is a small, one-time step that protects a large, multi-year purchase. Whether you are buying a Thar for weekend off-road use, a Scorpio-N as your family SUV, an XUV700 flagship, a BE 6 or XEV 9e as your first born-electric SUV, or a Bolero and Pik-Up fleet for commercial operations, an independent PDI Plus inspection helps ensure you take home the exact vehicle you paid for.

Two ways to move forward:

  • If your delivery is confirmed, share the VIN, dealership name and showroom format, delivery date, accessory list, and registration type. We will lock a slot.
  • If you are still evaluating options, negotiating, or waiting on a Thar or Scorpio-N allotment, tell us the model, expected timeline, and use case. We will guide you on when the inspection should be booked.

Fill in the enquiry form on this page or call our team. We respond within a few working hours and can accommodate same-week Mahindra inspections across Delhi NCR, Haryana, Western UP, and adjoining Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you inspect Mahindra 4WD variants including differential and transfer case?

Yes. On Thar 4×4, Thar Roxx 4×4, Scorpio-N 4×4, and XUV700 AWD, we verify 4WD engagement in high and low range, transfer case shift, differential lock function where fitted, and check for differential fluid seepage at both axles. This is standard on every 4WD Mahindra we inspect.

Yes. Every dealer-fit accessory is verified for fitment, function, and billing accuracy. Snorkel alignment, roof carrier bolt security, side step brackets, and interior package installation are all photographed and documented.

Yes. BE 6 and XEV 9e run on the INGLO skateboard platform, which is architecturally different from converted-EV models like XUV400 EV. We run INGLO-specific OBD diagnostics, verify DC fast charging port function, check one-pedal drive calibration, and audit BE outlet paperwork, which differs from standard Mahindra invoices.

Yes. Commercial fleet inspection is a dedicated part of our Mahindra service. We audit chassis integrity, load bay condition, tie-down points, commercial paperwork, including permit and fitness flow, GSTIN and PAN verification, and provide standardised reports across multi-unit orders.

Yes. Haridwar is Mahindra’s northern plant and supplies significant Bolero, Bolero Neo, and Pik-Up volume across Haryana, UP, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. Fresh Haridwar stock still needs a full PDI because plant-line defects can occur anywhere, but the plant itself is not a concern.

Yes. AdrenoX pairing, Alexa voice activation, owner mobile registration, and vehicle telemetry appearance in the app are all verified before you leave the yard. First-attempt pairing failures are common and much easier to resolve at the showroom.

Usually, yes. Body-on-frame chassis checks, 4WD verification, differential fluid inspection, and accessory audit add time. Thar and Scorpio-N 4×4 inspections typically run 2.5 to 3 hours. XUV700 and monocoque variants run closer to 90 to 120 minutes.

Yes. We cover all three Mahindra retail channels including standard outlets, BE and XEV outlets, and commercial vehicle outlets. Share the showroom type at booking and we assign the appropriate inspector.

Pricing depends on the vehicle type (monocoque, body-on-frame, 4×4, BE or XEV EV, commercial), whether accessory verification is needed, and whether the delivery is personal or fleet. We share the exact fee upfront before you confirm.
